About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to laws relating to leasing, including HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, and Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Maintain compliance with HUD 4350.3 Handbook
- Develop responses to regulatory agencies in coordination with the Compliance Department
- Implement intervention strategies for non-compliant tenants
- Prepare for REAC reviews, MOR, Investor Site Reviews, and LIHTC Reviews
- Assist tenants with requests, questions, and complaints
- Monitor tenant arrears, litigation cases, and bad-debt write-offs
- Document lease violations and coordinate evictions
- Direct collection of monthly rents and late fees
- Supervise preventive and emergency maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate vendor bids and contractor quotes
- Conduct unit inspections and bi-annual walk-throughs
- Monitor budgets and attend monthly financial meetings
Requirements
- Three years of management experience including team supervision
- COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) or CPO (Certified Professional of Occupancy) certification
- EIV experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Yardi and Realpage experience
- TCS certification for tax credit properties
- Experience in Affordable Housing
