at least 18 years old, valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, experience with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred, customer service experience preferred

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support in individuals' homes to help them stay active and engaged
  • Offer transportation to community events, hobbies, appointments, and shopping trips
  • Assist with household duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and budgeting
  • Enrich lives by providing companionship and encouraging independence and self-care
  • Implement positive behavior supports and assist with activities of daily living
  • Support individuals with prescribed medications and personal care as needed

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and personal presentation
  • Strong communication skills for documenting care and collaborating with team members
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems without direct supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in a front-facing customer service role
  • A true passion for helping vulnerable populations
