Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions through comprehensive, integrated care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach and community mapping strategies for at-risk Latines
  • Conduct weekly outreach in hotspot locations to provide education and support
  • Deliver educational presentations regarding substance abuse, mental illness, and recovery resources
  • Provide bilingual health education and peer health education through home visits
  • Facilitate supported referrals to outpatient, residential, and medical services
  • Maintain client records within the Evolv Electronic Health Record system
  • Participate in weekly clinical and multidisciplinary team meetings

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required
  • Two years of experience in community-based outreach
  • Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant work experience, or lived experience
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license and clear DMV driving record
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Knowledge of local healthcare systems and community resources
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Community Health Worker (CHW) certification or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) credential
  • Experience with harm reduction principles and crisis management
  • Familiarity with motivational counseling and cognitive behavioral theory
  • Understanding of co-occurring disorders and social determinants of health
