Community & Events Manager

Responsibilities

• Host approximately 2 community events each week such as coffee meetups, story times, and park playdates
• Identify new opportunities for connection with local families, pediatric offices, libraries, and schools
• Build authentic relationships with community partners and represent Brella professionally
• Encourage families to join the interest list and schedule tours
• Collect email sign-ups and event leads through warm conversations
• Coordinate event logistics including supplies, setup, and scheduling
• Work with the marketing team to promote events via community calendars, Facebook groups, and Eventbrite
• Capture photos, attendee feedback, and event recaps

Requirements

• Experience in event planning or coordination
• Background in community engagement, grassroots marketing, or brand ambassador roles
• Experience in sales, hospitality, customer success, or business development
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with parent organizations, nonprofits, or education-focused organizations
• Experience with social media and community outreach
• Active involvement in the Newport Beach parenting community
