Community Engagement Lead

About the Company

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them with teams spanning hardware and software to accelerate the deployment of frontier compute.

Responsibilities

• Represent Fluidstack at town halls, public hearings, planning commission meetings, and community events as the primary external face.
• Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, city/county staff, utility partners, school districts, and nonprofits.
• Identify and mitigate political or reputational risks in coordination with Development, Legal, and Commercial teams.
• Deploy community benefit commitments, including local hiring programs and educational partnerships.
• Manage external partners such as lobbyists, consultants, and PR agencies.

Requirements

• Experience acting as the external face for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder maps including regulators and community organizations.
• Ability to identify and address political or reputational risks early.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing lobbyists, PR firms, or political consultants.
• Willingness to travel for sustained presence at active development sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hyperscale or AI data center development experience.
• Experience in energy procurement or grid interconnection communications.
• Knowledge of sustainability or environmental permitting narratives.
