About the role
Responsibilities
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and engaging living-learning environment for 130–170 residential students
- Directly supervise, mentor, and educate Community Advisors (CAs)
- Support student development, academic success, and a sense of belonging through educational initiatives and restorative practices
- Serve as a crisis responder and advocate for students within the residential community
- Participate in an on-call duty rotation, including evening and weekend responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least one year of experience working in a residence hall
- Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs
- Strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite software
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Residential Curriculum models
- Experience with motivational interviewing
- Familiarity with ACUHO-I Standards, CA Standards, and NASPA Learning Reconsidered
