Community Director

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, welcoming, and engaging living-learning environment for 130–170 residential students
• Directly supervise, mentor, and educate Community Advisors (CAs)
• Support student development, academic success, and a sense of belonging through educational initiatives and restorative practices
• Serve as a crisis responder and advocate for students within the residential community
• Participate in an on-call duty rotation, including evening and weekend responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least one year of experience working in a residence hall
• Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs
• Strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Google Suite software

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Residential Curriculum models
• Experience with motivational interviewing
• Familiarity with ACUHO-I Standards, CA Standards, and NASPA Learning Reconsidered
