Community Development Mortgage Loan Officer

Responsibilities

• Prospect home lending business to build and develop new client loan originations and relationships
• Originate and process residential real estate mortgage transactions in accordance with product guidelines
• Provide clients with detailed information regarding mortgage options, interest rates, and terms
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire loan process
• Gather necessary documentation at the time of loan registration
• Develop and maintain referral sources to grow the home lending business
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and loan quality
• Stay informed of real estate market trends and mortgage industry developments

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in 1st mortgage production
• Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and TIL regulations
• Knowledge of RESPA and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple locations if required
• Strong financial acumen and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in prospecting, networking, and COI (Center of Influence) relationship management
• Proficiency in sales and originator systems and workflow management
