Community Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of day-to-day logistical components of the residential life program, focusing on student well-being and safety.
• Provide transportation for students using JAX-provided vans, including scheduled shuttles to and from work, shopping, and entertainment.
• Organize group outings and activities, providing transportation every other weekend.
• Maintain rapport and informal communication with students to identify individual needs and challenges.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and biweekly community meals.
• Triage student questions and concerns while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Residential Supervisor and Program Director to foster programmatic harmony.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must hold a valid US driver's license and be able to transport groups of students in a van.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work seasonally from May to August.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience as a residential life staffer in a college or university setting.
• Experience serving as a peer mentor, teacher, or organizing recreational programs.
• Recent or near college graduate pursuing a career or higher education in a STEM field.
