About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee resident engagement, activities, and support services across 3-6 NYCHA developments
- Conduct outreach during operational projects, emergencies, and service disruptions
- Liaise between residents, NYCHA departments, maintenance staff, and stakeholder groups
- Support Resident Associations, tenant participation, and resident consultation processes
- Coordinate events, resource fairs, job fairs, and resident recruitment for programs
- Maintain outreach records, resident feedback, attendance, and other key metrics
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and 2 years of community work, or equivalent experience
- High school diploma and 6 years of community work, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of qualifying community work experience
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel between NYCHA properties
