About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between students and community agencies to manage field education placements and ensure understanding of requirements.
  • Perform site visitations and document findings to assist in the evaluation of students during placements.
  • Recruit prospective students for the MSW program through online webcasts and in-person presentations.
  • Maintain communication pathways via social media and student communiques regarding events, jobs, and resources.
  • Manage School of Social Work communications, including student manuals, newsletters, and exit surveys.
  • Coordinate professional development presentations and participate in school committees for orientation and graduation ceremonies.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when interacting with students, faculty, and community organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work.
  • Minimum of two years of related agency experience, preferably in the British Columbia Interior Region.
