Community and Family Services Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to various services within the Community and Family Services setting
• Assist with public relations events, regular campaigns, and community activities
• Perform basic administrative tasks including photocopying, greeting visitors, and supporting reception
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of lesson areas and facilities
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of different activities and programs
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all program participants
• Chaperon students during drop-offs and pick-ups as required

Requirements

• Between 16-30 years of age at the start of employment (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)
• Non-Violent Crisis Training (or willingness to complete upon hire)
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team setting and interact professionally with diverse populations
• Willingness to support the mission and values of The Salvation Army
