16-30 years of age, CPR certification, First Aid certification, Non-Violent Crisis Training, Ability to lift 30 lbs, Strong communication skills
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide general support to various services within the Community and Family Services setting
- Assist with public relations events, regular campaigns, and community activities
- Perform basic administrative tasks including photocopying, greeting visitors, and supporting reception
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of lesson areas and facilities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of different activities and programs
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all program participants
- Chaperon students during drop-offs and pick-ups as required
Requirements
- Between 16-30 years of age at the start of employment (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- Non-Violent Crisis Training (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting and interact professionally with diverse populations
- Willingness to support the mission and values of The Salvation Army
