Communications Technician 4, Network Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of network outages for video, voice, and high-speed data services.
• Isolate and resolve fiber optic signal impairments for Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) and Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) networks.
• Conduct construction maintenance, including splicing aerial/underground coaxial cable and repairing damaged plant.
• Respond to service interruptions and damage scenarios during regular business hours, shift work, or on-call rotations.
• Maintain and stock company vehicles and equipment, ensuring all work is recorded accurately in customer accounts.
• Operate company vehicles safely and comply with all safety procedures, including OSHA and DOT regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in cable telecommunications, broadband, or a similar field.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more.
• Ability to climb ladders, operate aerial lifts up to 34 feet, and work in inclement weather.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a CT3 Advanced Technician or above.
