Communications System Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers performing software prototyping of communications system digital signal processing algorithms
• Balance technical management (40%) with individual contributor technical performance (60%)
• Manage personnel tasks including hiring, task loading, and technical mentoring for junior engineers
• Work with subject matter experts to define priorities and manage execution of modeling and simulation tasks
• Implement and encourage software development best practices, such as GitLab workflows
• Develop prototype implementations in Python and C++ for use in HDL truth models and quick-reaction capability deployments

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 10+ years of experience in digital signal processing software development
• Professional Python development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software-defined radio frameworks such as GNU Radio or X-Midas
• Professional C/C++ development experience
• Experience with communications performance analysis and channel impairments
• Exposure to FPGA systems, HDL development, or electronic warfare topics
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
