Communications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to support business goals.
• Provide strategic communications counsel to officers, managers, and various departments.
• Write diverse content including intranet stories, executive talking points, email announcements, social media posts, and video scripts.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to co-develop and execute comprehensive communication campaigns.
• Support Public Relations efforts, including emergency and storm communications.
• Participate in the creative process for campaign development and content ideation.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in public relations, writing, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to develop compelling online stories and key messages.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to build professional relationships with diverse clients and senior executives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, or communications.
• Experience working within the electric utility industry.
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging communication platforms.
