Communications Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of an integrated communications strategy to advance the university's mission and strategic goals.
• Coordinate and craft the President’s monthly email, Light and Faith.
• Write press releases and news stories for the university website.
• Support Alumni and Parent Relations by creating content for the monthly In the Loop newsletter.
• Provide strategic direction for Taylor Magazine in collaboration with the Alumni area.
• Assist with messaging and content for university announcements, publications, and official correspondence.
• Plan the President's Office’s annual holiday cards for strategic donors and friends of the University.
• Support various campus areas including Undergraduate and Graduate Enrollment, Taylor University Online, and Social Media content creation.
• Act as a liaison between the university and local press, as well as media consultants.
• Assist the Senior Leadership Team with crisis communications when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of communications or marketing experience.
• Proficiency with email systems and communication technology.
• Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional writing and editing.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with public relations, social media strategy, and higher education marketing.
• Knowledge of the Christian higher education context.
