About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement communication plans that support outreach goals and community relations for targeted audiences
  • Advise clients on marketing and advertising strategies across multimedia channels
  • Foster positive relations with stakeholders to support knowledge translation activities
  • Develop and produce outreach materials, ensuring all collateral adheres to brand identity
  • Manage social media presence, including campaign implementation and analytics monitoring
  • Write story pitches and media correspondence to maintain relationships with news reporters
  • Determine logistical details and manage expenses for events and programming

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum four years of relevant communications and outreach experience
  • Experience working in a university, teaching hospital, or comparable environment
  • Knowledge of or exposure to basic public health research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Mailchimp
  • Experience with content management systems and data visualization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience drafting knowledge translation documents
