About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of multifaceted communications strategies for the Cleveland Engine Plant, including storytelling, workforce engagement, and events.
- Act as the onsite communications subject matter expert and liaison between plant, union, and corporate leadership.
- Write, format, and distribute internal monthly newsletters and leadership messages.
- Create original content by reporting on major cost and quality wins, innovations, and plant activities for company-wide distribution.
- Manage the plant's internal digital presence and engage employees across various channels.
- Cultivate relationships with local media and community stakeholders, such as dealers, arts organizations, and small businesses.
- Plan and execute major onsite events, including Family Open Houses, Spirit Days, and executive visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, media relations, or journalism.
- Proven experience in community relations and stakeholder advocacy.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere to generate original content.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional maturity with a track record of successful relationship building.

- Passion for the automotive industry.
- Prior experience in manufacturing communications.
