Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling communications that showcase the impact of marine science research
- Create engaging content across various channels including feature articles, news stories, digital platforms, and multimedia products
- Translate complex scientific information into accessible, audience-focused stories to drive engagement
- Work closely with researchers, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen reputation and influence
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, media, or related discipline
- Substantial experience in journalistic writing, storytelling, and content development
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with digital communications channels including websites, social media, and CMS
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex stakeholder environment
- Valid "C" class driver’s licence
