Communication Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Support comprehensive internal and external communications strategies to bolster company objectives
• Craft high-quality content for various channels, including internal memos, speeches, newsletters, press releases, and social media
• Build and maintain strong relations with local and regional media and communications stakeholders
• Coordinate media relations activities, including responding to inquiries and arranging interviews
• Collaborate with parent company PR teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
• Draft and refine internal and external speeches and develop corresponding visual presentations
• Represent the company at community meetings, events, and other public forums
• Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess strategy effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
• 4 to 6+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Expertise in speech writing and developing visual presentations (e.g., PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with photography
• Experience with web design and/or effective web layouts
