Communication - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department for face-to-face courses
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, including modern instructional technology
• Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Master's degree in communication
• If the master's degree is in another discipline, a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in communication is required
• Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
• Demonstrated proficiency in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience
