CommTech 4, Network Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber optic and coaxial network impairments.
• Isolate and resolve signal impairments for Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) and Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) networks.
• Conduct construction maintenance, including splicing aerial/underground coaxial cable and repairing damaged plant.
• Respond to service interruptions, outages, and damage scenarios during regular hours, shifts, or on-call rotations.
• Perform CLI ride-outs and track/repair leakage to maintain system specifications.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for daily responsibilities.
• Comply with all safety procedures, including NEC, NESC, OSHA, and FCC regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in cable telecommunications, broadband, or a similar field.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate aerial lifts up to 34 feet.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and stand for 50-70% of the workday.
• Availability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working at Comcast.
