Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with top priority journalists, influencers and media targets
• Write, edit, and verbally communicate complex ideas effectively to a diverse audience
• Develop and frame the company's brand position across various social platforms
• Collaborate with founders and marketing lead on growth initiatives
• Shape the company's online presence and brand narrative
• Blend deep technical understanding with creative storytelling
• Develop novel approaches for raising awareness and product launches
• Ideate on campaigns to help people understand the mission, products, and business model
• Create multi-modal educational content for a variety of audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in early-stage software startups in Communications, Sales, or Marketing roles
• Excellent speaking and writing skills
• Well-established media relationship network
• Proficiency in PR tools, media monitoring platforms, and social media management
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Crisis communication experience
