Commodity Sourcing Manager

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive-scale compute infrastructure for AI. The company acquires power, designs and builds data centers, and operates them with teams spanning hardware and software to accelerate the deployment of frontier compute.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute multi-year commodity strategies for direct-material categories including metals, plastics, electronic components, and sub-assemblies
• Monitor commodity markets and build should-cost models to validate supplier pricing
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, competitive bidding, and e-auctions
• Evaluate supplier capability, capacity, and risk through structured assessments and site audits
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and volume commitments, executing MSAs and LTAs
• Manage supplier relationships through QBRs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver annual cost-reduction and productivity targets through value engineering and demand aggregation

Requirements

• Experience owning commodity strategy and strategic sourcing for direct materials in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record negotiating complex contracts and long-term agreements
• Ability to build should-cost models and utilize market intelligence for pricing validation
• Experience running structured supplier management including QBRs and dual-sourcing
• History of hitting cost-reduction targets through value engineering and consolidation
• Ability to partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with direct-material categories for hardware or electronics
• CPSM, CSCP, or CPP certifications
• Knowledge of global supply markets
• Experience with manufacturing S&OP
