Commodity Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of the wiring perimeter (QCDDM) within an international and demanding environment.
• Lead international sourcing activities, from supplier selection through to industrialization.
• Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations with international suppliers regarding costs, quality, lead times, and CSR.
• Ensure robust and competitive supply by managing contracts throughout their entire lifecycle (development, series life, and end-of-life).
• Drive cost reduction initiatives during the series life phase through technical optimizations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Supply Chain to manage capacity risks and crisis resolution.
• Monitor purchasing performance indicators and ensure data reliability within purchasing systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) from an Engineering or Business School.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial purchasing.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects within an international environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders, including top management.
• Ability to manage crises related to logistics, capacity, or quality.
• Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
