Commodity Buyer - Passives

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing prices for assigned commodities and supplier groups to achieve target costs
• Support cost-saving initiatives through source reviews, bundling, and market benchmarking
• Lead global competitive sourcing, benchmarking, and contract negotiations for assigned suppliers
• Identify optimal suppliers using industry-standard sourcing techniques and planning methods
• Monitor market trends to support cost controlling and total cost management initiatives
• Manage the supply base with a focus on quality and delivery performance using escalation models
• Maintain accurate pricing, contracts, and negotiation data within SAP or similar ERP systems
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to foster a culture of zero defects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in commodity, technical, or project purchasing
• Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation regarding quality, capacity, and cost
• Exposure to supplier RFQs, bidding processes, and negotiation activities
• Knowledge of APQP and/or purchasing project management tools and methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
