Commodity Buyer - Passives

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing prices for assigned commodities and supplier groups to achieve target costs
• Support cost-saving initiatives through source reviews, bundling, and market benchmarking
• Lead global competitive sourcing and benchmarking activities
• Prepare and support Commodity Management during contract and sourcing negotiations
• Identify optimal suppliers using industry-standard sourcing techniques and procedures
• Manage the supply base with a focus on quality and delivery performance
• Maintain accurate pricing, contracts, and negotiation data within SAP/ERP systems
• Monitor market trends to support cost controlling and total cost management initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in purchasing (commodity, technical, or project coordination)
• Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation regarding quality, capacity, and cost
• Exposure to supplier RFQs, bidding processes, and negotiation activities
• Knowledge of APQP and/or purchasing project management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
