Commodity Buyer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the best price, quality, and service in the procurement of new components and commodities.
• Define and execute Material Group (MG) and supplier strategies within the Hub.
• Coordinate and manage suppliers, including the negotiation of framework contracts and supply chain management.
• Manage the RFQ and Sourcing Decision processes for both local and global projects.
• Conduct supply chain analysis and coordinate supplier selection in alignment with Commodity Management.
• Monitor supplier risks and initiate appropriate actions to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Drive cost savings initiatives for the Hub.
• Support APQP processes, including PPAP validation and ensuring formal project delivery to series production.
• Identify and develop new suppliers to support business growth and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO/TS 16949 quality standards.
• Proven experience in Project Management and APQP processes.
• Deep understanding of costing models and piece costing.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement guidelines and Quality Management Systems.
