Commodity Buyer Energy and Raw Material AP

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional energy purchasing strategies aligned with global commodity strategy
• Track, negotiate, and support the execution of local energy supply contracts
• Lead Green Power Frame Agreement negotiations and act as an interface between local plants and global teams
• Support ordering and cancellation processes for green power certificates
• Handle energy-related CAPEX projects and cost-saving initiatives such as PV, battery storage, and transformers
• Conduct RFQs, price comparisons, supplier negotiations, and sourcing decisions
• Manage supplier relationships including onboarding, development, and performance monitoring
• Ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines, audits, and governance requirements
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, reporting, and forecasting for price and volume
• Collect and process energy invoice data for global reporting systems
• Act as a backup for Steel Purchasing AP

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain principles
• Strong analytical, execution, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Fluent in both Mandarin and English
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the energy sector or indirect purchasing (NPM)
