Commissioning Project Engineer

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive-scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them with teams spanning hardware and software to accelerate the deployment of frontier compute.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning for data center and mission-critical projects
• Focus on Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and the development, review, and approval of test procedures
• Schedule and coordinate FATs and Factory Witness Tests for UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, transformers, cooling, and fire suppression
• Review and approve vendor FAT procedures against project specs and Uptime Institute Tier standards
• Develop and maintain commissioning test procedures and scripts across all five commissioning levels
• Track commissioning issues, document results, and validate systems against design intent
• Coordinate with vendors, GCs, and the commissioning team to maintain project schedules

Requirements

• Experience planning and executing commissioning on data center or mission-critical projects
• Hands-on experience with FAT and FWT coordination
• Ability to review and approve vendor test procedures against technical specifications and Tier standards
• Deep knowledge of critical infrastructure equipment including UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling, and BMS/EPMS
• Rigorous documentation skills to keep commissioning evidence audit-ready
• Ability to coordinate vendors and trades under build pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, or NETA standards
• Experience with Uptime Institute Tier commissioning
• Experience with CxA support
• Experience with modular or prefab FAT programs
