Commissioning Professional

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning team to verify building systems meet owner operational needs and design intent
• Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility operators to review design documents and develop commissioning plans
• Conduct field observations, system testing, and performance tests on equipment
• Ensure proper training for building operational staff
• Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning process
• Conduct energy audits and facility condition assessments
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients regarding technical topics and recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3 years of experience in commissioning, mechanical design, or related field within AE or Construction
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, building automation, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of energy-related systems, tools, and principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel 10% - 30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Commissioning certification
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Knowledge in Test, Adjustment, and Balance (TAB) procedures
