About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish the culture, schedules, and procedures for the entire Project Start-Up (SU) team to deliver functioning assets to operations
- Develop and maintain the Project Site Specific Commissioning Manual and Project Specific Plan
- Oversee all required SU activities related to each craft during pre-commissioning and direct operations personnel during the commissioning phase
- Manage and oversee the commissioning budget and implement SU staffing plans
- Ensure strict adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines
- Interface between Engineering, Construction, and the Client
- Manage sub-contractors and OEM-Technical Field Advisor (TFA) support
- Maintain and update commissioning schedules and manage all commissioning records, including Red-Line/As-Built drawings
- Review, approve, and direct daily operational plans during hot commissioning
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or a similar field
- 10+ years of CSU experience, including at least one previous assignment in a Senior CSU Leadership Role
- Strong knowledge of power plant systems and how various components interconnect to produce power
- Knowledge of PLC and PC-based control systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical information and P&IDs
- Proficiency with PC, Windows, and Office software
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of prior experience specifically working on power projects
- Experience with flow measurement, engineering practices, and design calculations
