Commissioning Machinery Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Support the Commissioning Manager in planning, executing, and documenting the handover of facilities to the client.
• Oversee adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and work permit protocols for the commissioning team.
• Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for all rotary, reciprocating, static equipment, and packages.
• Develop detailed mechanical component plans and daily activity schedules in alignment with the general pre-commissioning schedule.
• Monitor the execution of all activities to ensure compliance with established procedures and timelines.
• Coordinate with electrical and instrument superintendents to facilitate seamless project handovers.
• Act as a liaison between the Client Project Team, Project Management, subcontractors, and vendor representatives.
• Manage vendor specialist mobilizations and oversee their site activities.
• Assist the QA Site team in compiling handover system dossiers and required certifications.
• Serve as the authorized person for issuing or receiving Permits to Work.

Requirements

• University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional work experience.
• Extensive experience in machinery commissioning activities.
• Proven experience in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas or Refinery projects.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
