Commissioning Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead all commissioning activities on assigned data center projects from pre-functional through integrated systems testing (IST) and final owner acceptance
• Develop, own, and drive the commissioning schedule in coordination with construction and project management teams
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners during systems startup and performance verification
• Write, review, and execute commissioning plans, test procedures, and functional performance tests (FPTs)
• Document deficiencies, track resolution, and maintain complete Cx record packages for owner handoff
• Serve as the primary field point of contact for commissioning-related RFIs, submittals, and technical issues
• Conduct pre-functional inspections and verify installation compliance
• Manage the punch list and systems turnover process through to final acceptance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commissioning
• 3+ years leading Cx on mission-critical, data center, or large-scale industrial construction projects
• Hands-on experience commissioning MEP and electrical systems (generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure, BMS/controls)
• Ability to develop and execute commissioning plans, FPT scripts, and IST procedures
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, OPR, and BOD
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and vendors in active construction environments
• Ability to read single-line electrical diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and controls sequences

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience commissioning hyperscale or colocation data center facilities
• Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or BCxA accreditation
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Cx Alloy, or FACTSuite
• Experience in high-growth, startup environments with accelerated schedules
