Commissioning Instrument Supervisor (Telecom Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre-commissioning procedures for instrument items and packages
• Coordinate functional test procedures for instrument items under the instruction of the Superintendent
• Manage and coordinate the activities of instrumental specialists and subcontractor teams
• Perform field checks of the DAC and prepare relevant commissioning punch lists
• Monitor field operations to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Supervise vendor specialists to ensure efficient utilization and task execution
• Maintain accurate logbooks of all activities to monitor progress and implement recovery actions
• Witness client activities and sign off on relevant certificates for handover to certification engineers
• Act as an authorized person for issuing or receiving Permits to Work (PTW) as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in large oil & gas plants or EPC projects
• Proven experience in pre-commissioning procedure development and functional test coordination
• Strong understanding of plant safety procedures and implementation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on timely problem resolution
