Commissioning Instrument Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Support the Commissioning Manager in planning, executing, and documenting the handover of facilities to the client.
• Ensure all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities follow stated procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Review procedures for field instrumentation, fire and gas units, online analyzers, and telecommunication systems.
• Develop detailed daily and system-wise programs for all instrumentation items based on the general schedule.
• Coordinate field instrument activities with the Control Systems Superintendent to ensure smooth execution.
• Assign tasks to supervisors and assistants and monitor progress against the agreed schedule.
• Liaise with the Client Project Team, Project Management, subcontractors, and vendor representatives.
• Manage the mobilization and onsite activities of vendor specialists and ensure the availability of commissioning spares.

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 18 years of professional work experience.
• Significant experience in a similar role within EPC Oil & Gas or Refinery projects.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills under pressure.
