Commissioning Instrument Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Support the Commissioning Manager in planning, executing, and documenting the handover of facilities to the client.
• Ensure all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities follow stated procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Review commissioning procedures for field instrumentation, fire and gas units, online analyzers, and telecommunication systems.
• Develop detailed daily programs and schedules for all instrumentation items based on project priorities.
• Coordinate field instrument activities with the Control Systems Superintendent to ensure smooth execution.
• Assign tasks to supervisors and assistants and monitor progress against the agreed schedule.
• Liaise with the Client Project Team, Project Management, subcontractors, and vendor representatives.
• Manage the mobilization and field activities of vendor specialists and ensure the availability of commissioning spares.

Requirements

• University Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
• Significant experience in a similar role on EPC Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience working within a Refinery environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on timely problem resolution.
