Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Mentor aspiring commissioning technicians
• Carry out and document all pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks
• Hand over fully operational systems for customer acceptance
• Ensure health and safety procedures and documentation are followed and maintained on site
• Update and maintain commissioning schedules, handover, and witnessing documents
• Perform factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and customer witnessing
• Ensure sites are cleared of equipment and materials prior to handover

Requirements

• HNC or equivalent in Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in the Power Industry
• Strong understanding of cold commissioning 11-33kV switchgear
• Knowledge of basic protection relays and functions
• Ability to perform tests including Contact resistance, Insulation resistance, AC dielectric with-stand, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, and relay secondary injection
• Capable of performing installation tests on distribution Transformers
• Full UK Driving license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
