Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning and commissioning of equipment
• Hand over fully operational systems for customer acceptance
• Ensure health and safety procedures, standards, and documentation are followed and maintained on site
• Update and maintain commissioning schedules, handover, and witnessing documents
• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and customer witnessing
• Conduct site surveys to support project teams
• Compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Maintain Continuous Professional Development

Requirements

• HNC or equivalent in Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience working within the Power Industry
• Full UK Driving license
• Working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions
• Proficiency in testing: Contact resistance (Ductor), Insulation resistance, AC dielectric withstand, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, relay secondary injection, scheme checks, and CT analysis
• Capability to perform installation tests on distribution Transformers
• Ability to make minor changes to protection relay settings and configurations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent English communication skills
