Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Test, document, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical parts of completed sub-assemblies and bioprocessing equipment.
• Collaborate with build, commissioning, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to maintain and improve manufacturing cell output.
• Record and communicate progress based on agreed production schedules for specific work areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement discussions regarding production and site-wide initiatives.
• Work towards hitting production and quality targets to achieve required schedules.

Requirements

• ONC, HND, BTEC, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technician/apprentice training).
• Substantial experience in a high-tech engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
• Practical electrical skills including wiring, fault finding, and electrical testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant hardware configuration/test programs.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and engineering materials/tolerances.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines.
