Commissioning Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment including power distribution, control, and backup power systems
• Manage commissioning projects from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
• Perform complex functional and performance testing of electrical/mechanical equipment
• Identify equipment issues and develop effective solutions
• Review and evaluate engineering drawings, submittals, and test results
• Compile commissioning schedules, reports, and procedures for switching and energization
• Maintain detailed records of test results, equipment logs, and inspection reports
• Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and client specifications
• Communicate project updates to clients, contractors, and stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers
• At least one year of experience as a lead commissioning engineer
• In-depth understanding of electrical/mechanical and controls systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and commissioning software (CxAlloy, Compass, Procore, etc.)
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification
• Knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
