Commissioning Engineer, Data Center Controls

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and commissioning of SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems across US and Europe sites
• Develop control system architectures, functional specs, P&IDs, sensor installation details, and SOO templates
• Program and configure PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs to meet site requirements
• Perform FAT and IST to prove system functionality before handing sites to operations
• Mentor and review the work of junior controls engineers across multiple greenfield deployments
• Travel 50% to 70% to project sites for on-the-ground commissioning

Requirements

• Proven experience leading the design and commissioning of industrial control systems on mission-critical projects
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and debugging ladder logic and function block
• Hands-on experience with major platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or Ignition
• Experience working across PLCs, DCSs, SCADA, and industrial networks at scale
• Ability to lead trade contractors, design engineers, and owner representatives on-site
• Ability to own projects from concept design through commissioning sign-off across multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license
• Large-scale data center commissioning experience
• Proficiency in Revit or other 3D modeling tools
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, NETA, or BACnet/Modbus standards
