Commissioning Engineer, Data Center BMS & EPMS

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of BMS and EPMS controls across Fluidstack's portfolio of AI-grade facilities
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for BMS and EPMS systems
• Lead controls improvement projects including scope, budget, schedule, and delivery
• Commission new facilities and develop control logic and GUIs for generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, and cooling systems
• Drive standards for fleet control across open and proprietary protocols
• Collaborate with construction, design, and site teams to feed operational learnings back into design

Requirements

• Experience owning BMS and EPMS controls in mission-critical or data center environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and run root cause analysis on live systems
• Deep knowledge of critical infrastructure equipment (generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers, cooling)
• Proficiency with control protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
• Experience setting controls standards and leading improvement projects with budget ownership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLC and SCADA platforms
• NETA or commissioning certification
• Experience with modular or prefab controls standardization
