Commissioning Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre-commissioning procedures for electrical items and packages, including functional tests.
• Supervise electrical substation power-on activities and motor runs in the field.
• Manage and organize field operations for assigned subcontractor teams, ensuring strict adherence to plant safety procedures.
• Ensure the correct application of TAG-OUT/LOCK OUT procedures.
• Coordinate with and supervise vendor specialists to ensure efficient utilization and execution of tasks.
• Perform interlock, logic, and sequence testing, verifying MCC actions against board operator commands.
• Maintain accurate logbooks of all activities to monitor progress and implement recovery actions.
• Prepare and sign off on relevant certificates for client witnessing and handover to certification engineers.
• Act as an authorized person for issuing or receiving permits to work according to project procedures.

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 10-12 years of professional work experience.
• Significant experience in a similar supervisory role on EPC Oil & Gas or Refinery projects.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills under pressure.
