Responsibilities
- Master basic cooking methods, including ingredient cutting and daily mis-en-place preparation for assigned stations
- Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards while maintaining portion control and minimizing wastage
- Adhere to hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area
- Report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment requiring repair to the immediate supervisor
- Support the culinary team to ensure efficient service and exceed guest expectations
- Cooperate with various kitchen sections and departments to ensure professional service and event success
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene
Requirements
- Minimum Primary school education
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar culinary capacity
- Oral proficiency in the English language
