About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest levels of quality in kitchen production and food presentation
- Prepare all mise-en-place correctly prior to the commencement of service
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge regarding Levantine cuisine and resort functions
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSMS, and UAE hygiene regulations
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and ensure all products are correctly labeled with expiry dates
- Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, including kitchen fridges and back areas
- Assist with monthly physical asset inventories and report any equipment faults to superiors
- Participate in daily briefings, monthly communication meetings, and all required training sessions
- Foster positive working relationships and contribute to a strong team spirit within the kitchen
Requirements
- Culinary school diploma or at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience working in a 5-star hotel environment
- Basic knowledge of the English language
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
