About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients for Asian cuisine dishes according to standardized recipes
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and plating of Asian dishes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation adhering to food safety protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment including woks, steamers, and fryers
- Support the kitchen team in executing daily meal services during peak hours
- Follow all food handling procedures and UAE food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and proper storage
- Continuously learn and develop Asian culinary techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Familiarity with Asian cuisine preparation techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
