Commis Chef

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all kitchen sections
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment
• Support less experienced team members when required

Requirements

• Certificate III in Cookery
• Previous experience in a similar kitchen role
• Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine
• Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and split shifts
• Valid working rights within Australia or New Zealand
