Commis Chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits
• Assist in measuring and portioning items according to recipes
• Follow cooking guidelines to ensure food meets quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Work across various kitchen areas including Butchery, Cold Kitchen, Hot Kitchen, Grill, or Sushi
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and maintain workstation cleanliness following hygiene guidelines
• Assist with receiving deliveries, labeling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily production needs and provide high-quality dining experiences

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin
• Diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Ability to work a flexible roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
