Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor workflow in designated kitchen sections, including hot, cold, or employee dining
• Supervise Commis 2 and 3 staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
• Prepare and oversee raw meat, fish, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes for service
• Maintain sauces, stocks, and condiments in optimal condition
• Guarantee food freshness, hygiene, and compliance with company storage standards
• Uphold HACCP standards and ensure dry and cold storage areas are properly maintained
• Perform duties assigned by the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to ensure smooth operations
• Train junior staff in compliance practices and health and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years due to regulatory requirements
• 2–3+ years of solid culinary experience
• Strong technical skills and the ability to lead a section and mentor juniors
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic culinary training or certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience
