Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to hotel standards and recipes
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure food safety and hygiene
• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and plating
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and equipment
• Follow instructions and adhere to the hotel's quality and safety standards
• Participate in kitchen briefings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis 1 or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
• Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by hotel operations
• Must be currently located in the UAE
